Itinerary

Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: 27th March (Saturday)

15:00 : Board the train from Mumbai
(LTT/Thane/Panvel) The journey begins right here, in this very train! Sing songs, play cards and read your fav book- as you gear up for what could be the best weekend of the year!
PS: We have booked limited train tickets (RAC/Confirmed; depending on availability) in advance so that you can avoid the headache of booking yourself a ticket (Also, bus tickets to Gokarna are expensive)

Day 2: 28th March
(Sunday)

04:00 : Get down at Kumta railway station where our team will pick you up by private vehicles and transfer to our hostel near Nirvana Beach.With beautiful surroundings and its tranquil setting,Nirvana Beach is one of the most serene places you will see in Gokarna.A complete loner, this beach offers the most silent and serene atmosphere to walk along the shore or simply sit down and observe the never-ceasing tides! Here, we check in at our pretty little hostel and rest for a while. (The welcome breakfast's on us by the way :D)

08:00 : Today, we go for an excursion to the famed Yana Caves & Vibhuti Falls!!! Its gonna be a mad, adventurous day! Buckle
up, we’re about to turn the gears ;) After being mesmerized by the ancient caves and diving endless times into the chilly waters of the Vibhuti Falls, its now time for a trip to Mirjan Fort

The Mirjan Fort is flanked by the banks of Agnanishi River and is filled with high ceilings and bastions.

Post the Mirjan Fort trip, we come back to our hostel and call it a day.

BUT not before we go explore some nearby cafes to hog on some delicious food varying in multiple cuisines from Continental to Israeli to South Indian to Italian!!And if you're a seafood fanatic; boy, you're in for a treat!

PS: We have really good chances of catching glimpses of the bioluminescent phytoplankton (glowing blue colour) in the waves during the late evening! So if you're planning to stay up a Lil late, you might be in for a sweet surprise :)

Day 3: 29th March
(Monday)

07:00:Wakey wakey,Its time for yet another banger of a day! :D will check out & have a hearty breakfast, (it's on us again!) we buckle up and leave to OM Beach, where the boats are waiting for us! We shall hop on to our boats and go for a rideeeeee!

Keep your fingers crossed, for there are really good chances of spotting some dolphins in the sea!(We always do!)

We'll conclude our boat trip at Paradise beach(Which is also known as Hippie Beach), watch the Aghanashini Sangam (where the river meets the ocean) after which we'll make our way back to the famous OM beach.

After a wonderful beach Hopping will take our way to Gokarna town and do a little Grafitti tour!

12:00:we shall head to Gokarna town where you're set free, to do whatever pleases you! You got plenty of options for super cheap street shopping, or you could go temple hopping too or we'll take you to a mad Grafitti tour!Legend has it that this place was the birthplace of Lord Hanuman, and this town attracts thousands of pilgrims every year throughout the globe for its rich history

Once done, we quickly make our way to the Gokarna railway station to catch the same train back home.

Day 4: 30th March
(Tuesday)

06:30:We'll reach back home max by 06:30 in the morning, where we conclude this once-in-a-lifetime backpacking trip.Back to our cityscapes with loads of memories in your heart and a very small hole to your pocket ;)

Sadly, all good things gotta come to an end, just like this trip; BUT with a promise to meet and make exciting plans real soon! Give goodbye hugs to the squad, share your social handles and get back to the fast-paced city life with a rejuvenated spirit!

FAQs

Will there be network coverage in Gokarna?
Almost all of Gokarna has good mobile network reception
What will the weather be like when we visit?
The weather in Gokarna will be hot during the day (around 35°) and cool at night (around 23°). Please make sure you carry sunscreen lotion to avoid sunburns.
What will the accommodation be like?
This is a budget backpacking trip. We will be staying in a guesthouse (NOT a hotel). Each room will be shared amongst 5 to 6 people. There will be an attached bathroom with a western toilet.
What kind of food options would be available on the trip?
There are many restaurants to try out at Kudle and the other beaches nearby. The cuisines vary from continental to Italian and Israeli. There's also Indian, Chinese and local South Indian food that you can sample.
Can I join the trip directly at Gokarna?
If you're not from Bombay or Pune, feel free to book the 'Ex-Gokarna' ticket. We expect you to meet us in Gokarna on day 2 by 10:00 am latest. Feel free to give us a call to discuss the logistics of this.
Can I get a room for just 2 people?
Yes, that would be possible at an additional cost. Please contact us to confirm the availability of a twin sharing room.
