Malshej Ghat is one of the famous weekend gateway in Maharashtra, especially in the monsoon season. You can see the Kalu waterfall from the Malshej ghat. It remained unexplored as reaching the Kalu waterfall is a bit tough.
Kalu waterfall originates in the Harishchandragad Sanctuary and flows through Khireshwar village. Kalu waterfall falls from the Deccan plateau to the Konkan region.
You can also see one more waterfall near Kalu waterfall known as the Mahuli Waterfall (as per local people). Both these waterfall meets & form Kalu river.
If you ask me what makes Kalu waterfall so special, then just imagine
“walking in the dense jungle where sun rays are struggling to reach up to you. And suddenly within a walk of 1-2 hours will lead you to the 5 layered waterfall.”
These can be amazing right?
Same as the movie scenes, the only sound you can hear is the music of nature, chirping of birds & the sound of pounding waterfall will make you feel blessed.
