Overview

Bhorgiri village is a very small village. There are hills on the three side of the village. And one of the hills has Bhorgiri fort and caves. The trek route is through dense jungle and provides many opportunities for nature lovers and particularly Photographers!!! One can see the state animal of Maharashtra the Giant Squirrel, in local language known as “Shekru.” In Monsoon this is the perfect trek for Beginners, Nature Lovers, and Photographers. It’s a plain Jungle walk of around 3 Hours which ends at “Gupta Bhimashankar”. One has to pass the Streams & waterfall to reach the Gupt Bhimashankar Temple.

    Itinerary
    • Day 1:
    1. 7.00pm:Pickup from BMCC College FC road​

    2. 7.30 pm: Pickup from New Shivajinagar bus stop Wakdewadi

    3. 8.00pm:Pickup from Nasik Phata

    4. 11.00pm: Reach Bhorgiri the base village of the Bhimashankar trek enjoy night snacks on the bus

    5. 11.30 pm:Trek to the forest hill around 20 mins hike and set up your tents there

    6. Later the locals will take you on fireflies walk at night

    7. Enjoy some gala time with your friends in the raw nature and go to sleep

    • Day 2:

    1. Early morning wakeup and post breakfast start your trek to Bhimashankar temple

    2. It is around 6kms of trekking to the temple on the way you witness Gupt Bhimashankar

    3. Later reach Bhimashankar by noon and have lunch

    4. Depart for Pune

    5. Reach Pune by 11.00pm

      Note: If it is sunny out there we will directly head to Bhimashankar temple via vehicle 

    Important:Fireflies spotting is a natural phenomenon as per past records the ideal time to spot fireflies is from mid May to mid June incase of no fireflies visibility no refund will be provided.
