Witness Lonavala Natural Wonder: The 7-Year Karvi Flower Blooms In Full Glory
Nature enthusiasts in mumbai & Pune  are in for a treat this year as the rare and spectacular karvi plant (Strobilanthes callosa) is set to bloom. This 7-year wonder flower is a true marvel, with its vibrant purple flowers gracing the hillsides once every seven years. The karvi plant blooms between August and October, depending on the region and climate, and when it does, it’s nothing short of magical.

Imagine entire hillsides suddenly bursting into color as if overnight. The mass blooming of the karvi plant is a sight that nature lovers eagerly anticipate. Naturalist and wildlife researcher Rajesh Sanap shares, “The karvi plant is special because it blooms en masse after nearly seven years. It's a magnificent sight, and witnessing it in Mumbai is extraordinary. I’ve been fortunate to see this natural wonder in places lonaval & other parts of Maharashtra, and I’m thrilled about this season.
